Does stainless steel change the taste of coffee?

No. The inside is uncoated 18/8 stainless steel. No coating, no aftertaste.

Is it leak-proof in a bag?

The lid seals with a gasket and an extra-strong spring, so it travels upright or on its side. A spare gasket is already in the box.

Is it tested for food safety?

Yes. It is tested for food contact under FDA 21 CFR 177.1210, and for lead under the US CPSIA. The food-contact report is on our certificates page. Free to download, no form. The lead report is being added there.

Is this travel mug non-toxic?

BPA-free and toxin-free where it is tested: your coffee touches nothing but uncoated 18/8 steel. No coating on the inside, so there is nothing that could flake into the drink. The food-contact reports are on our certificates page.

Can I get the travel mug engraved?

Yes. We engrave it in our own facility in California, in one fixed position. There is no separate engraving listing for the mug yet. Write to us or order it through corporate gifts. Engraved items ship without a return option, so we say it up front.
