How do your two water bottles differ?

The difference between the two bottles primarily lies in their insulation capabilities. Since the sports version is our newer product, we were able to change the build, which offers better heat insulation. Additionally, the opening of the sports bottle is smaller, which also contributes to less heat escape.

The second difference is in the design. The stainless steel water bottle is somewhat wider, or "bulkier". It features a wood detail on the lid and comes with a carabiner attachment. That lets you hang your bottle on your backpack. The sports water bottle is designed much slimmer, thus fitting into all standard bicycle holders and daypacks.

Does the thermal coating come into contact with the contents or me?

Neither on the outside, which you touch, nor on the inside of the bottle, is there any coating. The material used is so high-quality that no coating is needed. Our thermal coating sits on the outer wall of the inner body, where it minimizes heat radiation. It is a copper layer. Both the drink and you only come into contact with food-safe 18/8 (304) stainless steel, not the coating.

Is this bottle completely plastic-free?

Yes. This bottle is completely plastic-free, lid included. Your water touches nothing but steel. The inside is uncoated 18/8 (304) stainless steel.

Is it tested for lead?

Is this water bottle non-toxic?

Can I have my product personalized?

Certainly, customization through laser engraving is available for this bottle. This is not temporary; your engraving is permanent. You can preview what your engraving will look like before you order. Please note that engraved items cannot be returned.

Is this bottle BPA-free?

Yes. There is no plastic in this bottle at all, so there is no BPA in it either. The seals are made from food-safe silicone. Our lab reports for this bottle, including the lead test, are on our certificates page.

Which of your products are thermally insulated?

Our thermally insulated products include our two water bottles and our insulated food jar. Our typical lunch box is not thermally insulated.

Are Blockhütte water bottles leak-proof?

Yes. The seal holds, even with carbonated drinks. It prevents spills during travel, sports, or daily use.

How long does an insulated water bottle keep water cold?

Ours keeps drinks cold for 25 hours and hot for 13 hours, with no preheating. You get the most out of it if you rinse the bottle with cold water first. Then fill it right to the top.

Can I put hot drinks in this bottle?

Yes. It keeps drinks hot for 13 hours, with no preheating. Rinse it hot and fill it to the top, then keep it closed.

Can I use the bottle for sparkling water or soda?

Yes, our bottles are pressure-resistant and safe for carbonated beverages.

Is the bottle dishwasher safe?
