Frequently asked questions

Is the engraving included in the price?

Yes. There is no per-character fee and no setup fee; the price you see includes the personalization.

How durable is a laser engraving?

It is permanent. An industrial fiber laser marks the steel itself. Nothing is added on top, so nothing can peel, fade or wash off. It survives the dishwasher indefinitely.

How long does a personalized order take?

Express Engraving: order by 1:00 PM PT and we engrave it the same day, in our own facility in California. After that, the next business day. Personalization does not put your order in a slower queue.

Can I return a personalized product?

Personalized items cannot be returned unless they are defective, because they cannot be resold. Please check your spelling before ordering, since we engrave exactly the text you enter.

What can I have engraved?

Names, dates, short messages and company logos. Two fonts to pick from, and four positions on the lunch box; the food jar has one fixed position. For a logo or a bulk order we send a mockup before production.

Does engraving affect food safety or the warranty?

No. The engraving is on the outside; the interior stays untouched, uncoated 18/8 steel. The 3-year warranty applies exactly as it does to a non-engraved product.

Love these containers!

We have been using the lunchbox containers for about a month and love them. We use them as takeout containers when eating at restaurants. When we cook at home, we put leftovers in glass containers, but these lightweight (yet durable!) containers are perfect for carrying around. I take out the ring in each lid and wash that by hand, but the containers go into the dishwasher. We highly recommend these!
