What is a Double Vacuum insulated water bottle?
It is the sports build of our stainless steel bottle. 18/8 (304) steel body, double-wall vacuum, and a plastic lid built to survive being dropped. 25 hours cold, 13 hours hot, with no preheating. The 12 to 25 oz sizes are 2.67 to 2.75 in wide and fit a standard bike cage.
Is the lid plastic?
Yes, and on purpose. The lid is recycled plastic because it has to seal, grip and survive concrete. The body and the threads are steel. Your drink touches nothing but uncoated 18/8 steel.
Does it hold carbonated drinks?
Yes. The seal is tested with sparkling water, which builds pressure. It holds lying down in a gym bag. Open it slowly after shaking, as you would any pressurized bottle.
What sizes does it come in?
Four: 12 oz, 17 oz, 25 oz and 34 oz. The 34 oz is 12.20 in tall and weighs 0.93 lb empty. The size is stamped on the base.
Is it tested for lead?
Independently tested for lead under the US CPSIA, and we retest every year. The current report is on our certificates page. Free to download, no form.
Is it dishwasher safe?
Yes: bottle, lid and seal. Take the seal out of the lid once a week so it dries fully.
What comes in the box?
The bottle with its seal, a spare seal, a cotton carry bag and a natural bristle cleaning brush. The spare seal is already in the box, so the first swap costs nothing.
What if the lid or the seal wears out?
You buy the part, not a new bottle. Cap, seal set, brush, bag and the silicone gum ring are sold on their own under spare parts. Defective parts are replaced free within the 3-year warranty.
Can I have it engraved?
Yes, in one fixed position. Express Engraving: order by 1 PM PT and we engrave it the same day, in our own facility in CA. Engraved bottles cannot be returned, so check the spelling before you order.
