Yes, every part of it: bowl, lid and seal. Take the seal out once a week so it dries fully.

Can I use the salad bowl in the oven or freezer?
Yes to both. Take the silicone seal out before it goes in the oven. It is not suitable for the microwave.

Why can’t I put it in the microwave?
Stainless steel and microwaves do not mix. The electric field moves the charges in the metal, which can spark at the edges and damage the appliance. Use the oven instead.

What material is the salad bowl made of?
18/8 (304) food-grade stainless steel, uncoated inside. BPA-free and plastic-free.

Is it tested for lead?
Independently tested for lead under the US CPSIA, and we retest every year. The current report is on our certificates page. Free to download, no form. All seals are food-safe silicone, BPA-free.

Can I have the salad bowl engraved?

Is it suitable for kids?
Yes. It is rugged, lightweight and the clips are manageable for smaller hands.

Developed and designed in Hamburg, Germany. Manufacturing happens in China, to our own designs and specifications.
