The four rules that cover every product
Learn these once and you can skip the rest.
- Everything is dishwasher safe. Every product and every part of it, at any temperature your machine runs. There is nothing here you have to wash by hand.
- Dry the seal groove. This is the one habit that matters. A seal seated in a wet groove is a seal that lets go, and it is why most leaks happen.
- Let hot food cool before you close a lid. Cooling food pulls a vacuum. On a lunch box that means a stuck lid. On a food jar, that is what the anti-vacuum plug is for.
- Replace the part, not the product. Seals, lids, dividers, plugs and brushes are all sold on their own. Parts are shared across products, so one seal often fits more than one item. They are on the spare parts page.
Questions we get asked
Are Blockhütte products dishwasher safe?
Yes, all of them. Every product and every part goes in the dishwasher, at any temperature your machine runs. Take seals out once a week so the groove underneath dries fully.
How do I stop a lid from leaking?
Almost every leak comes back to the seal. Take it out, wash it, dry the groove it sits in, and press it back in flat. If it has gone stiff, a new seal set costs a few dollars.
Can I still get parts for an older product?
Yes. Every wearing part is sold on its own: seals, lids, dividers, plugs, brushes. Parts are shared across products, so one seal often fits more than one item. They are listed on the spare parts page.
Can I download these instructions?
Yes. Every guide has a button that saves the page as a PDF. The original printed leaflet is linked there too. The page is always the current version.
Something broke. What does the warranty cover?
Three years on material and workmanship, from the date you bought it. Write to info@blockhuette.com. The full terms are on the warranty page.
Source and date. These pages carry over the printed leaflets that ship with the products. Units are converted to US measures. Everything here was checked against the product data on August 25, 2026.
Test reports, with lab, report number and date, are on the certificates page. Questions we have not answered? Write to info@blockhuette.com.
