The Cabin Club
Your coworkers buy a new lunch box every year. You won't. Now you can tell them where yours is from, and save them 12%. It works on an order of $50 or more.
Blockhütte is German for log cabin: a place you build once, properly. The Cabin Club is how it grows.

Summary. The Cabin Club is our referral program. Joining is optional. Members share a personal code. A friend gets 12% off an order of $50 or more, once per customer. The member earns store credit worth 15% of the friend's subtotal after the discount. This applies only to the friend's first order with us. We add it after a 75-day hold. The full rules are in the Cabin Club Program Terms.
Personal information involved.
- Members: name, email address, customer account ID, shipping address, and the personal code. The personal code usually contains the member's first name. We also keep the orders placed with the code, and the member's reward and store credit history. We keep a record of each choice to join, decline, or leave. It shows the date and the version of the terms and this notice.
- Friends who use a code: customer account ID, order number, and the value of that order. We also keep refunds for that order.
- For fraud checks, we keep the member's email and shipping address as a keyed one-way code. We take both from the paid order that qualified the member to join. Without a shipping address, we use the billing address. The one-way code uses the first address line, the 5-digit ZIP code, and the country. We turn a friend's email and address into the same kind of code to compare them. We do not keep the friend's one-way code.
How we use it. We use this information only to run the program. That means creating the code, crediting rewards, and preventing self-referrals and abuse. We email members about their code and their rewards. Our email provider, Klaviyo, sends these emails for us. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, stores the program records.
When a friend's order qualifies, we tell the member the reward amount and the date it is due. Because the reward is 15% of the subtotal, the amount shows roughly what the friend spent. We never tell the member the friend's name, address, or order contents.
How long we keep it. We keep program records while you are a member. After you leave, we keep fraud-check records for up to two years after your last reward. We keep the record of your choices for 24 months after your membership ends. A record that you declined is deleted after 13 months. Records of rewards, store credit, and referred orders are part of our accounting. We keep them after you leave, too.
How to join. You can join after a qualifying order, as Section 2 of the Program Terms describes. Sign in and open the Cabin Club page. Check the box to accept the Program Terms and this notice. Then select "Join the Cabin Club." The box is never checked for you. We create your personal code only after you join. Joining is optional, and it does not change the prices you pay.
How to leave. You can leave at any time. Select "Leave the Cabin Club" on the Cabin Club page, or email info@blockhuette.com. Your code stops working right away. Store credit already in your account stays there. Rewards for qualifying orders paid before you leave are still credited after the hold. If you choose "No thanks" or leave, we won't ask you to join again for at least 12 months.
If you ask us to delete your personal information, your membership ends and your code stops working. We may keep fraud-check records for the period above. We use them only to detect self-referrals and abuse. We also keep the accounting records described above.
How the incentive relates to the value of your data. We estimate the value of a member's personal information to us at about $23 per qualifying referred order. This is what the program costs us per qualifying referred order. It is the member's store credit plus the friend's 12% discount. On the smallest qualifying order, that is $6.60 plus $6.00, or $12.60. The member's reward is about half of this value.
Method. We based the estimate on what the program costs us. Until we have program data, we estimate from our U.S. orders of $50 or more. We take 12% of their average subtotal, plus 15% of what remains. We count all U.S. customers, not only California residents. We review this estimate at least once a year.
How it works
Order, then join
After a paid order with a subtotal of $50 or more, you can join on this page. Your code looks like EMMA821.
Share it
A friend saves 12% on an order of $50 or more with your code or your link.
Earn store credit
On your friend's first order with us, you get 15% of their subtotal after discount. It's credited automatically 75 days after their order is paid.
Say your friend picks $80 in products. After 12% off, the subtotal is $70.40. Your store credit: $10.56.
Good to know
- No fee, no subscription, no minimum term. Joining is optional, and you can leave anytime on this page.
- Subtotal means the product total after any discounts, before tax and shipping. For your friend's 12%, the $50 counts before the 12% comes off.
- Your friend's 12% works once per customer. It can't be combined with other discounts, including our volume discount.
- If our volume discount applies instead of your code, there's no store credit for that order.
- The code is for friends. Orders with your email or shipping address count as your own and earn no store credit. That includes orders from someone in your household. We compare the street address and ZIP code. The separate apartment field isn't part of it.
- You can earn store credit on up to 10 friends' orders in any 30 days.
- Why 75 days? It covers our 60-day return window and the time most refunds take.
- If your friend's order is refunded, we adjust the store credit that came from it. If what your friend keeps drops below $50 before the 12%, there's no store credit for that order.
- No minimum balance. Every reward is added, however small. Your store credit has no expiry date.
- Store credit is a promotional reward, not a gift card.
- Store credit works at checkout on blockhuette.com while you're signed in.
