Is My Blockhuette Stainless Steel Lunch Box Really Dishwasher-Safe?

As a devoted member of the Blockhuette family, you're probably familiar with this issue: You come home from a long day at work, or the kids unpack their bags (or both ;) ), and the stainless steel lunch boxes are now completely encrusted. You're no longer in the mood to wash dishes and would prefer to toss all the lunch boxes into the dishwasher at once. But what should you consider here?

he answe shouldn't really be a surprise to you

And here's the answer: Not much! Our lunch boxes are made from the toughest, stainless steel we could find and are therefore dishwasher safe, so you don't have to worry about nasty surprises like rust or dents after washing. However, there is one small thing to keep in mind: Please make sure to quickly remove the seal before washing and rinse it under clear water to increase its longevity.

Imagine if your trusty stainless steel lunch box could talk. It would probably say, "Hey, I'm made of stainless steel, not some low-grade steel that starts crying and rusting at the first contact with water!" Yes, the myth of rusting stainless steel still haunts us. But honestly, does anyone truly believe that your lunch box will suddenly start dramatically oxidizing in the dishwasher? The truth is, most stainless steel lunch boxes are like superheroes made of stainless steel. They wear their own invisible anti-rust costume. But – and here comes the but, a bit like the cliffhanger in a Netflix series – it might be that one beautiful morning you discover tiny rust spots. Shock and horror? Worry not, it's just surface rust, the uninvited guest that jumps over from other, less heroic kitchen utensils. Surface rust is like your lunch box went to a party and brought back a few confetti pieces. They are superficial and come from other rusting objects in your kitchen. But the good news? You can easily get rid of this party crasher and return your lunch box to its superhero shine. So, no drama, folks. Your stainless steel lunch box has got everything under control!
